It unlocks a new menu skill - to queue your actions by holding down the selected action for tiny bit and then RELEASE. Down... Up... Down... Up! You'll get used to it. How exactly do you do that? 2) You have to press directly on the menu element and hold your mouse for about a 1/3 of a single second and release then it will queue the action without closing the menu. 3) Clicking outside the menu will still close the menu. 4) Tapping on a menu item will queue it as per usual. 5) Does not work on cheats menu. What not to expect: - this mod is not an adaptor, it wont make incompatible mods compatible. This is an experiment and if it's stand-alone prove of concept works without bugs it can easily go into MDM. Troubleshooting Auto-pause tricks: If you want to use auto-pause with smarter-pie i suggest to remove its .package file (aka: thepancake1_AutoPauseOnPieMenu_v1a_.package, keep only the .ts4script file, then you only have the pause functionality working without package conflicts and you can have them all working. Final words: This is alpha test, you might be the first person to use it. By downloading this you agree it comes "as-is" and even if it has been tested by others, your game version/ unique mod folder/ setup can vary on its performance. Personal developer notes on the future of MQM + IPM + MDM (MDMA -Modsby dropdown menu advanced) : I had an eureka moment recently, and its kinda new but on paper i might have figured out how to avoid mod conflicts in the future and perhaps even making a universal mod adapter that makes other mods stop fighting for resources and lets people play the game without constant breakage. That's the dream, we are reached a big milestone towards it just this week. This mod is not fully there yet, it can cause conflicts, but its very close to be proof an important concept in universal compatibility for the future. In concept ad least i think i figured out how to make sure that my future mods will be compatible with other mods by avoiding common traps, i just need to identify all the remaining edge cases and perhaps Modsby Universal Menu Adaptor will be created soon, by having its presence in the mods folder it should be able to "orchestrate" access to shared resources so everybody gets some. Maybe... if that does not work then there's also plan B a well proven concept I'm playing around with, the plan is making a "Modsby Menu Core", which sounds like a lot but actually its just a little reusable framework so that i can release tiny menu mod functionalities in without them conflicting with each other. What do you think? Want a new menu with a little portrait of your sim like in sims 1 - 3? This is the way. Want a new menu function to show friendly interactions while posing? Also this is the way. We don't need a core for this but it would make things faster. then every new unique menu function as as-as separate little .ts4script file without the custom coded settings like in MDM and you can just choose and pick what you like. Does that sound appealing to you? Next: I'm integrating this mods architecture into IPM and MDM which should be rolled out in the next week, one after another, IPM first, ofc depending on the amount of blockers and how stable this mod performs. This will make IPM/MDM even less likely to cause conflicts with other mods. The goal is to make both pie-menu and dropdown menu a stress-free single user-flow experience and not a repetitive curse like it is in vanilla. We are almost nearing a massive breakthrough that might change Sims 4 forever... fingers crossed, dream big Next IPM release: That is already mostly bug free, but its currently being changed to follow the newer architecture to make it more compatible. ETA: A few days away. This one takes the cake: I have a fully functional MDM version with queue implementation already being tested by a professional. My girlfriend has been using it for 24 hours and i quote "It's nice, i like it. I used it today in gardening." - you can't tell but for me this is MASSIVE, because she's been playing with no sleep... it also needs a refactor but once that is done, i believe it will be actually ready for full integration with Instant Pie Menu if my plan works.
